You’ve heard the term “walking on air”? Somehow that phrase made me think that our Christian walk is covered with prayer. Especially in that Jesus Himself is making intercession for us. He’s also given us His Holy Spirit to make perfect prayer through us. As we walk in obedience, it isn’t an accident what happens. Not that the evil that befalls us is necessarily God’s will for our lives. I don’t believe in the fatalistic attitude of what will be will be. I believe that mindset is unGodly, because it negates the power of prayer. God certainly has all control, but is no puppet master! He uses people, and unfortunately many times His will is not done on earth by man, even though His ultimate aims and purposes will be done. That’s why Jesus instructs us to pray that God’s will would be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Jesus was a prayer warrior on this earth and certainly is, on my behalf, in Heaven. And we must be, too, especially for the lost!
