I have experienced the scripture that inspired this song. I’ve looked at many a congregation as we pour out our hearts on the platform and they look like (as a Pastor I know expresses it) “a cow at a new gate”! Sometimes nothing is ever good enough and it can get frustrating for those who are trying to share and exhort. I know Pastor’s experience the same thing. And evidently Jesus did too! People still reject Him even though He died and rose from the dead for them! We in the church get so overfed and fattened that we become complacent. Maybe it’s because we don’t pour out what we’ve received?
