The verses in John chapter 3 were the inspiration for this song. I think Nicodemus is an interesting figure. He was so curious, but so afraid that he came to Jesus at night to inquire. He had a very valid question: “how can a man be born again?” It is a mystery, but when we receive Jesus as Savior a supernatural event happens and we have the Life of God in our spirit forever! We become His children and part of the family of God. How incredible and wonderful! We have eternal life, right now! This song is from Nicodemus’ perspective.
