Hectic lives we have these day! A list at night for the next day, then update it and prioritize it that night with the items that had to be left undone so they might get done the next day after that, and on and on it goes. My dad called it “the rat-race” and sometimes it certainly feels that way. Remembering to take time for focusing on the Lord is a constant challenge for me, but I have learned that it is the way to recharge and regain strength and equilibrium. A cherished precious Scripture truth is that the Lord actually sings over us! My husband contributed the great line in this song “I’ll awake to hold my life eternal like a brand new toy”! Isn’t that a marvelous description of all that day will hold in store for us? It contains all the child-like joy and excitement we will feel. I love and enjoy my life here, but I do very much look forward to that wondrous rest that we will one day enter.
