Growing up I tried to teach myself piano. I had six months of lessons so I could figure out the sheet music to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, the first classical piece I ever tried. Early in my Christianity, Psalm 40 became very close to my heart as almost describing my own testimony. He lifted me up and set my feet upon a rock and established my going. And He put a new song in my mouth. This is a combination of two very important musical influences in my life: classical music and the Word of God.
