- Celebrate Around The Throne Betsy Carter 2:38
David danced with all His might before the Ark of the Covenant. It is not irreverent to celebrate before our God! David was a man after God’s own heart. It took me a very long time to feel free in my worship. At first I couldn’t even lift my hands. I’d do one of those partial hand-lifting things, so no one would see me! But David has given us a great example. Will people criticize? Yep! I think his wife Michal represents the established conventions. Yet because she scorned David’s expressions of worship, she became alone and barren. Something to think about. Of course, it’s really what’s in our hearts that God sees. If we make a spectacle in order to draw attention, God will deal with that! I’d be afraid to do such a thing. I respect my Father too much. But I do feel He is pleased to see me physically express in Scriptural ways what is going on in my heart and spirit.
LYRICS:
Celebrate around the throne
And dance before the Lord
Celebrate around the throne
And dance before the Lord
Celebrate around the throne…
Hallelujah! (hallelujah)
Hallelujah! (hallelujah)
In freedom we will sing
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
To You, oh Majesty,
We bring thanksgiving
Celebrate…
Hallelujah!…
Celebrate…
