- The Battles Yours Betsy Carter 2:51
I was moved by the 2 Chronicles recounting of Jehoshaphat’s battle with Moab and Ammon. At first he was alarmed. He inquired of the Lord, and proclaimed a fast. The people came together to seek help from the Lord. Jehoshaphat lead them in prayer, saying “we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” And the Lord told them not to be afraid or discouraged, because the battle was His. They praised with a very loud voice! The next day he appointed them to sing to the Lord and praise Him ahead of the army and as they did, the Lord won the victory. And they returned joyfully, going to the temple with harps, lyres and trumpets. What amazing truth! Victory is ours in the Lord and we are to believe He will move on our behalf. We are to praise and worship Him as He wins for us. Hallelujah! Many times I have no idea what to do, but I am learning to keep my focus on Jesus and give Him praise and worship. That’s the key.
